Sheldon's Harley-Davidson® Helmets

Sheldon's Harley-Davidson® has a large selection of Helmets. We carry Full-Face helmets, Open Face helmets, Half helmets and Modular or Flip Up helmets. We carry helmets in all sizes and styles for men, women and your little riders.

Full Face motorcycle helmets offer the most protection of all the motorcycle helmet types. A full face helmet covers your entire head, with a rear that covers the base of your skull, and a protective wrap around section that covers the front of your chin. The visors are usually clear or tinted transparent plastic. Most helmets include vents to increase the airflow. The significant attraction of these helmets is their protectiveness. Wearing a helmet with less coverage eliminates that protection - the less coverage the helmet offers, the less protection for the rider.

Most Open Face Motorcycle Helmets will be lighter than Full Face helmets or Flip-Up helmets. Open face motorcycle helmets are also known as 3/4 helmets. Some Open Face Motorcycle helmets have shields that offer some protection from the elements.

Half helmets are popular with many motorcyclists. They don't offer as much coverage and protection as a Full Face or an Open Face helmet. Wearing a D.O.T (Department of Transportation) approved motorcycle half helmet, like the examples below, is wiser than wearing a Novelty Helmet or no helmet at all.
